However, you need to book in advance as the gardens are expected to be full.

Starting November 13th, the gardens will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, allowing families to visit the gardens that are part of the 550 acre resort.

The park itself will remain closed so don’t expect to be able to take rides now.

There are social distancing guidelines, as well as temperature checks on arrival, and only take-away drinks and food available with card payment.

James Walker, Marketing Director of Alton Towers, said, “We look forward to reopening our gardens to the public over the next few weekends, allowing guests to enjoy them as they do their vital daily exercises.”

“The gardens were very much enjoyed and appreciated by guests in the summer, and we know the grounds are particularly impressive in the winter.

“We will continue to limit the number of guests per day and still take a number of hygiene and safety measures to protect our visitors and employees.

“We know how important these quiet garden and outdoor areas are for families at this time, not just for physical activity, but also for their well-being. They provide a place where families can spend time outdoors together.”

Tickets can be booked here and cost £ 12 for adults and £ 5 for children. Children under 3 years are free.
