The holiday giant Tui will resume flights from Manchester and London Gatwick to the beach hotspot Varadero, 2.5 hours east of Havana, on December 3rd. Direct flights from London Heathrow to Havana relaunch with Virgin Atlantic in January.

Visitors to Cuba will need a tourist card (purchase at www.visacuba.com or www.cubavisas.com) and travel insurance with Covid coverage (Cuba offers a $ 30 policy on arrival). Cuba, which is on the UK travel corridor list, does not require a pre-flight PCR test, although it is recommended that all passengers receive one. Incoming passengers must complete a health form and undergo a PCR test and temperature check. Travelers must wait 24 to 48 hours at their hotel or B&B for the results, but quarantine is not required.
