Interstate travellers pay $130,000 to book luxurious Noosa rental over Christmas

A group of interstate executives paid $ 130,000 to book an exclusive property in Noosa for a stay of ten nights.

The house is owned by Russian hemp mogul Evgeny Skigin and has a day spa, sauna, ice bath, gym and pool with ocean views.

Sue Willis of Niche Luxury Accommodation said wealthy Australian travelers are looking for new vacation destinations while unable to travel overseas.

“The people who inquire about Domic are usually people who are currently sailing on a signature yacht somewhere in the Mediterranean,” she said.

“Of course they can’t go, so we just offer them one alternative and something else that they can do with their money.”

Demand from tourism companies in Queensland has increased since the borders reopened to travelers from Victoria and Sydney on Tuesday.
