Staycation growth in Wales as holidaymakers book journeys to Tenby and Llandudno after lockdown
WALES is experiencing a boom in holiday booking after the 17-day fire lockout ended yesterday.
While the country is still imposing some restrictions, it now allows people to meet in small groups, and domestic holidays can also take place.

Travel agents are seeing bookings too – Matthew Sutton, who owns two domestic travel agents in Wales, said they had already seen heavy traffic in the stores.
He said, “It’s nice to be open again and see customers who like to book.
“We were hoping it would get this crowded, but we didn’t expect it.”
Bookings for Tenby and Llandudno are popular options as families want to book their own stays and some are leaving as early as November 20th.
Unfortunately, no one in England can still vacation – the lockdown outside Wales lasts until December 2nd.

Entry into Wales from England is also not permitted due to the blockage.
Staycations had a bumpy year in 2020 due to ongoing travel bans and restrictions.
Many campsites and holiday parks sold out this summer, with some having a record year.
This continues for next year – travel experts have even warned families to book now, otherwise they run the risk of losing.
Not only is prices expected to rise, but there is limited availability due to advance bookings as well as families who have chosen to move their 2020 vacation dates to 2021.
