For £ 25 you can get an interactive lesson about the botanicals and try them out for yourself (something to do in the courtyard when the weather is nice).
Or Drinks at The Distillery, which you can book for the weekend, is a two-hour session with three gin drinks and a history lesson for just £ 25.
Just a short walk away, you can stay at the Grade I listed inn The Bedford.

Tarquins Gin School in Padstow just opened last month and offers gin distillation classes for groups.
Visitors can even bring their own plants and shrubs to create a unique gin. The lesson, which costs £ 85, also ends with your own 70cl bottle.
The popular seaside resort has a number of nearby hotels to choose from, including the award-winning The Pig or Rick Steins St. Edmunds House just around the corner, which have a limited gin collaboration with Tarquin.

Perhaps one of the most famous gins, the Bombay Sapphire distillery is housed in its unique glass dome.
Classes start at £ 45 where you can prepare two cocktails or a tour and a free drink for £ 17.50.
You can also stay overnight at Oakley Hill Park, including distillery tours.
Packages include a one night stay, a tour of the distillery, a three course meal in the Glasshouse restaurant and a full English breakfast for £ 239 per room.

Denbies Vineyard, Surrey

If you can’t decide between gin or beer, Adnams in Southold is your best bet as both are made – the beer was distilled there as early as 1345.
Both brewery and gin distillery tours are available, each lasting 1 hour 30 hours and costing £ 20.
Just around the corner is the 17th century The Swan Hotel, which also offers packages for stays and tours of the brewery.
Each room is decorated in funky neon colors and even includes a free 20cl bottle of Adnams gin.
Three Choirs Vineyard, Gloucestershire

The Cotswolds is home to Three Choirs Vineyard, a 75 acre vineyard and hotel.

The three lodges in the vines have a private veranda where you can enjoy the wine. The on-site B&B also offers rooms with views of the vineyards.
Packages start at £ 210 for two and include a one night stay, vineyard tour and breakfast.
Brewing dog, Scotland

Brewdog headquarters in Scotland produces 300 million pints at any one time and is a must for beer fans.
Tours include a 1 hour 30 tour for £ 15 including four tastings and a five hour VIP tour with food for £ 100.
Brewdog has also opened three hotels above their bars, each offering in-room drinks.
While two are in the US, the Brewdog Kennels in Aberdeen is a 30-minute drive from the brewery, with a beer fridge in the shower and a free pint on arrival.
