Worldwide travel blogger conference to carry North American Convention in Lafayette in 2020 | Enterprise
Travel Blog Exchange, calling itself the largest conference for travel bloggers and other media producers, will hold its North American conference at the Cajundome Convention Center next year.
The conference, which will take place October 7-9, 2020, will bring together TBEX partners from North America, Europe and Asia to network, learn and do business. It also attracts travel brands, public relations firms, and target marketing organizations.
“We know this is the first time many of our attendees have visited the country of Cajun and Creoles, and they will be overwhelmed by how much this city has to offer,” said Rick Calvert, CEO and Co-Founder of New Media Expo and TBEX . “The Cajundome Convention Center fits in perfectly with the tech-centric culture of our community of travel content creators. Finally, and most importantly, the Lafayette Convention & Visitors Commission understands the impact of travel bloggers and how important this new media shift is to their city. We believe they are a perfect target organization to show what TBEX is about. “
Ben Berthelot, President and CEO of Lafayette Travel, said: “It will be an enormous honor to host TBEX 2020 for its North American conference. TBEX has been held in fabulous locations around the world and the listing of Lafayette Parish is another prestige event for our region that will put us on the map again. In addition to the room nights the conference will generate, the most important part of having these bloggers in town will be the millions of dollars in earned media they will generate in positive press for our region in the years to come. “
